Operational Ownership

In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of Sustainability tasks allocated to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.

I will perform the following relevant tasks for this role:

• Collaborate with all departments to ensure sustainability procedures are implemented effectively.
• Promote and execute Earth Lab activities for guests, including workshops and other experiences.
• Lead and manage Six Senses’ Sustainability Tours.
• Assist the Sustainability and Farm teams in all guests and host experiences.
• Develop and implement a new workshop for the Earth Lab.
• Coordinate Global Awareness Days (Giving for Good) activities for hosts.
• Gain a thorough understanding of the resort’s sustainability operational guidelines and initiate at least five improvement projects.
• Organize events in collaboration with the local community.
• Prepare and deliver a sustainability-focused training presentation for hosts.
• Lead the application process for a sustainability-related certification or award.
• Maintain and enhance one of the resort’s Sustainability Management Programs.
• Document the internship journey, including all projects and initiatives, and present it to the Regional Sustainability Director and/or Home Office team.
• Prepare sustainability reports for the hotel.
• Uphold Six Senses guidelines and service standards, consistently meeting and exceeding performance benchmarks.
• Adhere strictly to LQA standards and respond proactively to guest feedback.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or management team.

Skills and Experience

To execute the position of Sustainability Coordinator Trainee, I have the required qualifications, technical skills.

I am a personally involved, visible and proactive host with excellent organizational skills. I have an intuitive sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer and I have experience and I am able to work in a cross-cultural environment positively.

Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

I am familiar with Sustainability aspects. I have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Spanish is a plus. 

I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.
